The forgotten ones…

So we’re really good at reaching out to our neighborhood as a church these days…We have luncheons, prayer nights, charity days, and all kinds of outreaches. Many of these are great ideas and generally delivered with the right Christian attitude. I’ve been wondering however, do we put as much effort into ministering to our members? The ones who have faithfully called the church home for years tend to be forgotten. We assume that they have it all together because they go to church. This week I’m challenging my prayer group to find a church member AND a person who has only come a few times and ask what we can do to help them. We can’t spend all our time and energy on the ones who don’t really want to listen while neglecting the ones who will accept our help!

Acts 2:44-“All the believers were TOGETHER and had everything in common.”
