becoming self aware

Have you ever had that moment where you have encountered overwhelming evidence that something you’ve believed is blatantly incorrect? I recently had an experience like that. It’s not always fun. It’s not always an easy pill to swallow. However, if you agree with 2 Peter chapter 2, it is incredibly necessary to accept these challenges. If we aren’t careful, we can become lethargic in our beliefs. I believe our Creator does not want that for us. He created us to be intelligent, to ask questions, and to be self aware. Do not be complacent in your beliefs nor your understanding of what God wants. Althogh His nature never changes, He is always moving, shifting, and crafting something new in us. I believe this goes hand-in-hand with becoming ever mindful. Challenge yourself, push yourself, encourage yourself to understand deeper things with God. Psalm 42:7 says, “Deep calls to deep in the roar of your waterfalls; all your waves and breakers have swept over me.” What a beautiful place to be in with an omnipotent God!
