Happy belated Easter!! I hope it was a great time for all of you. I watched the Passion of the Christ again and kept thinking, “If I was really there, what side of the crowd would I have been on?” I hope I would have believed throughout the whole story, but there’s no way to know. One thing I do know is that I can definitely relate to Peter. He believed, he doubted, he repented, he believed again. Celebrating Easter is fun, but let’s remember that the reason for Christ’s resurrection is that we would all see God’s relentless love for us. It is that love that makes it possible that when we fail he will always call us back…time after time. (And we can celebrate that love everyday by simply activating our faith and believing His grace abounds!)
Alright, Westbow Publishing is ready to publish my book. I just need to pay the startup costs. If you can help me raise the $3000 I need, I will be able to get this published by the end of this year! Please partner with me in this as it has been a dream of mine for over 4 years now. Feel free to post questions here or on the Facebook page. I don’t expect everyone to feel like they have to donate, but please keep this in your prayers! Copy and paste this link to see more:
I had the privilege of speaking at the Mustard Seed. Check it out!
Have you ever held on to a promise from God and seen it slip out from under your feet? I know I’ve had situations in my past where I prayed and believed that God was in every decision that was made. Then I reached a point where it seemed like God no longer existed. How does that happen? Did God change His mind? I’m not talking about simply losing hope, I’m talking about serious situations that you cannot change or remove yourself from. When you just find yourself waiting around, hoping that God will do something, anything to help. Sometimes it seems like He does nothing. How is it that you can believe a promise from God, do what needs to be done to see it come true, then have it blow up in your face. I won’t pretend to have all the answers for every situation, but one thing I’ve learned in my personal journey is that God’s ways are always higher than ours. He does love and care for each of us in every situation. The challenge is not simply to find the answer or fix every situation, it is simply to continue trusting that He does have your best interest in mind!
In the words of the old hymn by John Sammis…”Trust and obey for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey.”
Do you ever wish you were more passionate about your dreams? Do you hope to see a project through to the finish, but find yourself really struggling? Maybe you want to accomplishing more with your life and just feel lost. Many people I talk to about dreams seem to feel the same way. We all want to do what it takes to move forward and progress in life, but seem to lack the constant motivation required. I feel that way at times as well. The beautiful thing about trying to become ever mindful is that you can try again every day. All you have to do is make a decision, act on it, see where that leads, adjust, then repeat. I believe that’s what God wants from us in our walk with Him. He just wants us to try to keep moving forward. Hebrews 6:1a says, “Let us move beyond the elementary teachings about Christ and be taken forward to maturity…” It is time for you to ignite a fire under your feet that encourages you to finish your goal. Line up your talk and your actions to lead you to the fulfillment of whatever makes you tick! Don’t sit around waiting anymore…START SOMETHING!
With that said, I will be launching the Kickstarter crowd funding site to try to get this book published. It will launch April 15th and will last 60 days. If it doesn’t work out, I’ll try again. I will not let this vision die!
